Agriculture Minister Aidarbek Saparov held a meeting with Gianantonio Tramet, founder of the Italian company TRAMITE Group. The parties discussed a project on growing and processing tomatoes for leading Italian brands. Italy imports 180,000 tons of tomato paste annually, and TRAMITE Group is considering the possibility of redirecting some of these imports to processing in Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries.
The key partner of the company will be Kazakhstan’s Agriqa Farms LLP, which is the initiator of the project to create an export agro-industrial cluster in the Shardara region.
